Often times in local preschools the distinction between daycare and preschool is a very fine line. Many facilities are listed as a “preschool” when in fact what they offer is a daycare for preschool aged children.
However Childcare and Preschool are not synonymous, in every situation, the activities, the materials, personnel training, facilities, etc are different.
And that is why we opened our preschool program at Les Petits. Because we have the knowledge and experience necessary. Because we have the proper facilities. And because we believe that preschool is the best way to help a child’s natural development on their way to kindergarten.
At Les Petits we follow the Utah Early Childhood Education Core Standards guidelines, because we believe that they are comprehensive, inclusive and are developed with the realities of our State and City in mind.
We are convinced that with our teachers’ knowledge and cultural diversity, we are capable of providing a broad and rich learning environment that will encourage our children to have an open and well-rounded mind with a lasting love of learning.
That is how we “make a difference, one child at a time”. It’s a reality we live each and every day at our daycare and now our new preschool. We are not just pretty pictures, and beautiful setups but honest philosophies: knowledge, respect and love of children and what we can help provide for them.
